March 9, 2014 – “This unit was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation rental in New Smyrna Beach. We checked out at least 50 other rentals in the area and chose this one because it was a corner unit promising expansive views from huge glass windows and doors, as well as an over-sized slider (another great view) in the master bedroom. It was a priority for us to be able to walk the beach right from our doorstep and this was easily done (This unit is on a no-drive section of the beach). The photos on the website showed every part of the condo (except for a very large walk-in closet – a nice surprise, and a third TV in the twin bedroom) and accurately portrayed it as it really is. In addition to a wonderful view of the ocean this unit also provided a clear view of the pool which was important to us so we could keep an eye on our teenager. The property is well kept and comfortable, and the unit well equipped with plenty of dishes, flatware, glasses, bakeware and pots, serving dishes, utensils, a great coffee maker, washer/drier and oversized fridge. There are community grills by the pool for use by all (load them with your own charcoal briquettes, they are not gas grills). The wifi was excellent also, easy to connect and strong signal with plenty of bandwidth for three of us on different devices. Two other things were extra special about our stay: first, the master bed was extremely comfortable. And best of all, the people in the complex, servers in restaurants, people we met on the street – all were so extremely and genuinely NICE. About 3-4 miles away are grocery stores, restaurants (chain and local), must-visit Flagler Avenue and easy access to the drive-on beach. Our favorite spots included restaurants, The Garlic, Norwoods, and Barracuda’s, as well as the Mardi Gras parade which was a great time and well attended by locals and tourists alike. Nearby Blue Springs State Park is where you can see manatees (in season) and we also visited Daytona Beach and two Arabian horse training facilities, all about a half hour away. Bike rentals are easy and worth it (you can ride right on the beach), if that’s something you like to do. Before our stay our inquiry and questions were answered promptly (we used email as well as a phone call in the process), the arrangements clear and complete, and there were absolutely no problems with payments, instructions or accessing the property. We would definitely choose to stay here again.”
