Welcome to The Salty Shack! Tiny beach shack, big vacation vibes. This fully renovated cottage in New Smyrna Beach is under 400 square feet — and it makes every one of them count. Park the car, put away your keys, and settle into a barefoot, salty-hair kind of week where everything you need is a short walk away.

Step through your private entrance into a sunny bedroom with windows on three sides, a comfortable double bed, armoire storage, and its own mini-split AC you control from the remote. Just beyond, the main living space opens up with a sectional sofa, smart TV, a fold-down Murphy bed, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a cheerful kitchenette built for real vacation mornings — full-size fridge and freezer, two-burner cooktop, microwave, air fryer, Keurig, toaster, and bar seating for two. (No oven — this is a coffee, snacks, and easy dinners kitchen, by design.)

The Neighborhood - Behind SoNapa:
You're a block off the sand in one of New Smyrna's most walkable pockets. Stroll to the 24th Ave beach access, grab a table at SoNapa Grille or Chase's on the Beach, pick up a slice or an ice cream cone, and catch the sunset. No driving, no parking hunt — just flip-flops and a short walk.

We happily rent to guests 25 and older. The Salty Shack is intentionally cozy — think beach chairs and slow mornings, not overpacking or staying in all day. This is not a pet-friendly rental. Onsite laundry for added convenience.

New Smyrna is a barrier island between the Atlantic and the Indian River, with 13 miles of sandy coastline and a reputation as Florida's surfing capital. Ride the waves near the jetties, gather shells, or head out from Ponce de Leon Inlet for deep-sea fishing — or cast for the famous redfish of Mosquito Lagoon. Back in town: beachside burger joints, fresh local seafood, boutique shopping, and small-town historic charm.

Our stay in New Smyrna Beach was incredible. The location of our AirBnB was perfect. Easy to walk to the beach and short walk/drive to restaurants and bars.
