It might be the dead of winter where you are, but in New Smyrna Beach it's as sunny as ever! The best time to visit is during February and March because of the incredible weather. Leave the winter blue at home and escape to the Sunshine State! With temperatures between 60 and 80 degrees, you will want to stay for a while.

New Smyrna Beach February Weather

February is the most popular month to visit in New Smyrna Beach for a reason, the weather is the best! The temperature stays between 60 and 80 degrees. It may be snowing at home, but the forecast in NSB calls for sunshine in February. I love how the weather makes it easy to spend the whole day outside—whether it's lounging on the sand, wandering through the parks and natural areas, or grabbing fresh seafood at a local spot. It never feels too hot or too chilly, which is why I look forward to being outdoors this time of year.

Spring Weather in New Smyrna Beach, FL

The spring weather in New Smyrna Beach is warm and inviting! During March, it begins to warm up to between 70 and 85 degrees. The temperatures rarely fall below 65 degrees, or over 85. You will experience cooler morning temperatures, and as the day goes on it warms up. For me, that meant cool walks along the beach in the morning, followed by afternoons of sunbathing or reading by the water as it heated up. It's the kind of spring break escape where you can actually relax instead of dealing with noisy crowds. Families enjoy it because the kids can have fun at the beach playing in the sand and water, while you can relax and sunbathe.

Rainy Season in New Smyrna Beach, FL

One thing people worry about when vacationing in Florida is the rain. However, if you visit New Smyrna Beach during February or March, you'll find rainfall is at its lowest of the year—averaging only 2–3 inches per month compared to 6–7 inches in the summer. While brief showers can still pop up, they're usually over quickly, leaving behind plenty of clear skies and sunshine. That's why winter and spring are some of the most reliable times to enjoy New Smyrna Beach outdoors.
