Activities in New Smyrna Beach, FL
With so many fun activities to try during your stay this spring break, there will never be a dull moment. You will have the chance to explore everything Florida offers, from beaches to marine life. When I visited, one of my favorite memories was watching kids light up as they spotted dolphins on a boat tour, which made the trip even more exciting.
Have a Beach Day
You can't go to New Smyrna Beach without spending a day on the shore. For me, the best part was rolling out a blanket on the soft sand, letting the sun warm my face, while watching kids dash back and forth between building sandcastles and splashing in the waves.
Many of our NSB rentals offer beach supplies, but you can also rent umbrellas, chairs, coolers, and more using the Beachfront Bellhop. Availability can be limited on busy holiday weekends, so it's best to reserve in advance. While you relax and soak up the sun on the beach, the kids can play freely in the ocean.
In New Smyrna Beach, you can explore a few different beaches. There is a driving beach and a non-driving beach that splits off at E 27th Avenue. Enjoy the driving beach when you stay at Chateau By the Sea and the non-driving beach when you stay at Point East.
Enter the driving beach in your vehicle at the end of Flagler Ave and enjoy the perks of pulling your car up to the beach. Keep in mind, though, that spaces fill quickly on Memorial Day weekend, and some families prefer the non-driving section for safety. If you have brought Fido along on your journey, Smyrna Dunes Park is a pet-friendly beach. You will have a fun-filled beach day wherever you choose to go during your spring break adventures in Florida!
If your family falls in love with New Smyrna Beach's mix of relaxation and adventure, you may also enjoy exploring other charming East Coast towns.
For those planning a North Carolina getaway, Carolina Beach Realty offers vacation rentals in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach that provide the same family-friendly atmosphere by the sea.
